MICAM Ltd have been selected by Carillion at Gatwick Airport to supply its innovative Horizon wall lining system as part of a £75 million upgrade to Pier 5 in North Terminal.

The project will increase the capacity and utilisation of the existing Pier 5. The work will include construction of a new departures corridor to be built on top of the existing pier and a number of aircraft stands will be reconfigured as Gatwick aims to improve passenger flow. Works are due to start immediately and will be completed by summer 2014.

MICAM wall lining systems are based upon a unique high performance glass-reinforced  composite  panel LSM-21 and integrated framing system. Horizon wall lining was chosen as it meets the performance, cost, flexibility and durability requirements set by the airport.
